my plants still alive?
29 liters Is that okay so my T5 ballast and I'm on a budget, so that from now on I my old light in the tank of a Coralife 50/50 20W 6,000 K and a small 10W Coralife 50/50 10,000 k. I know that light is the saltwater, but I just wanted my plant stay alive, for now until I had a new lighting system. If so how long? I'm not, do not try to grow fast just want to stay alive. I'm also using pro-plant Kent .. T12 and will stay alive 20W 50/50 actinic light 50% 50% 6000k Lamp 24inch and I made a diy the light which have a small 10W 50/50 same type of bulb, but 10000k. I also have Power Glo 20W 18000k 24 extra should I replace it with the 50/50?
These are sufficiently close to a usable spectrum. In any case, it would be better than nothing. When you say it is 50/50 actinic 50/50, or 50/50 10K/6K (daylight)? Help actinic definitely habit. The main concern is the assumption that you can afford a drag sometime in the near future is the growth of algae.

Why a Digital Ballast is higher than a magnetic ballast
The lights of high intensity discharge work wonderfully in hydroponic applications. Not only HID lamps produce light that mimics sunlight more closely than other light produced by Light Bulbs, but it does so using less energy and in a way that extends the life of the grow lamps. Any type of HID light to choose for the hydroponic gardening require a lamp ballast. There are three basic types of ballasts for lamps used in a Hydroponic Garden: magnetic ballasts, electronic and digital. Digital ballasts are superior to magnetic ballasts for several reasons.
A magnetic ballast is necessary to control the electric current flowing through the HID lamp. The ballast both light comes on and stays on. If the electric current was flowing in the bulb at full voltage, the bulb was broken, so that the controlling factor that provides the ballast is necessary for the proper functioning of any HID light. A magnetic ballast consists of one or more aluminum or copper coils that sit on a core consisting of steel plates. The coils and the main work in conjunction with a capacitor, and sometimes a lighter. These four parts are most often built into the ballast housing.
A digital ballast offers the same control as well as electricity magnetic ballast, but with the digital model of the flow is adjusted to optimal levels of performance for each specific type and power of the lamp, it is possible through digital circuits. Magnetic ballasts weigh more than digital, a consideration in a greenhouse environment, and also run hotter digital units. Due to the more consistent application of electric current, the lamps last longer and operate at a higher level using less energy with a digital ballast as you can with a magnetic ballast. With a digital ballast, the light produced is more consistent. Magnetic ballasts, especially as they age, is become more noisy when operating, the cause of HID lamps to flicker and also contribute to irregularities in the color emitted by the lamp. The digital units can also detect when the lamp is nearing completion, and can Shut Off the unit when not functioning optimally.
The type specific ballast that will depend on power HID lamps and the type you use. There are four types of HID lights, which consist of Metal Halide, High Pressure and low Pressure Sodium and mercury vapor. Each offers advantages with respect to efficiency, the longevity of the lamp, the color stability and brightness that will be taken into account depending on how you use the lamp with your plants. The life stage of your plants will be a factor in the lamp that best meets the needs of your plants.
